1. Open Statistica

2. 'File' menu --> 'Import data' --> 'Quick...'

3. Find and select the Excel file you want to import.

4. The 'Quick import from Excel' box appears --> click on 'get variable names from first row...'
(This is an important thing to remember to do. Otherwise your variable names end up as the first row of data rather than as the column headings).

5. Save the data in Statistica.
