The applet can be embedded within a series of web-based "form items," including radio buttons, check boxes, text boxes, menus, etc. The values from the applet are outputted just as values from any other form item are outputted. Specifically, these values correspond to the distance between the centers of the circles and the area of overlap between the circles are computed and outputted (see Demo for more info on the output values).
Below, different options for using the applet are shown.
Example 1. Basic use of the applet in a web-based questionnaire
In this study you will be asked to respond to a number of questions about your romantic relationship. There are no right or wrong answers. Your responses are completely anonymous. We thank you for your time and effort in completing this questionnaire.
