Mellon Tri-Co Seed Grants Return, Deadline
April 21, 2008
The Trico Forum Steering Committee invites applications for the another
round of Trico Fellowships, seed grants sponsored by the Mellon Trico
Forum.
These Fellowships support innovative faculty projects
relating to teaching, curriculum, research, or service/governance.
The grants are flexible as to the nature and scope of the initiatives
funded. Projects might include faculty working groups, topical workshops
or symposia, exchanges with other liberal arts colleges or universities,
"outreach" activities, invited speakers, travel money for
faculty training, etc. The Steering Committee particularly welcomes
collaborative proposals that bring together faculty from the three
colleges, as well as applications for initiatives that are hard to
fund through conventional sources. Fellowship support includes up
to $3,000 per project, to reimburse expenses appropriate to the nature
of the proposal: such as travel, hosting events, small honoraria,
materials and equipment, etc. Faculty who are eligible to apply include
all those on long-term or ongoing appointments at Bryn Mawr, Haverford,
or Swarthmore.
Interested faculty should submit a description of the proposed initiative,
with a detailed budget by April 21, 2008 , to Joanne Kimpel (jkimpel1@swarthmore.edu);
followed by a hard copy mailed to her in the:
Office of the Provost
Swarthmore College
500 College Avenue
Swarthmore, PA 19081
Please note that you should receive a confirmation of your
submission.
