The Haverford College Department of Mathematics and Statistics (http://www.haverford.edu/math/) invites applications for one position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor beginning in the fall semester of 2013. The duration of the position is one year, with possible reappointment for a second year. Women and members of underrepresented minority groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
A successful candidate should provide strong evidence of excellence in teaching, an ability to contribute to the Haverford math curriculum at multiple levels, and readiness to teach a diverse student body. The cover letter should address the candidate’s interest in developing their teaching and research in an undergraduate liberal arts setting. To that end, candidates are encouraged to indicate how their research meshes with the interests of the current faculty.
