TENURE-LINE POSITION IN PHILOSOPHY

The Department of Philosophy invites applications for a tenure-line position in Philosophy to begin fall 2008. The successful applicant will have serious research and teaching interests in ancient Greek philosophy (knowledge of Greek is required) even if this is not the primary area of expertise; and we encourage applications from senior as well as junior candidates. (PhD prior to appointment is required.) Dossier should contain: (1) a letter of application including discussion of current research, (2) CV, (3) evidence of excellence in teaching, (4) for candidates at the Assistant level, three letters of recommendation; for candidates at higher levels, the names and addresses of three or more referees, and (5) a writing sample.
