Health Professions Advising Office

The Health Professions Advising Office at Haverford College provides advising and support to students and alumni who are interested in exploring careers in the health professions including medicine, dentistry, public health, veterinary medicine and other related fields.

Haverford College is an exciting place in which to lay the foundation for a career in the health professions because of our academic excellence, rich opportunities for research and service, and humanistic Quaker values. In fact we have a new Health Studies minor that is designed to provide students with context to study and explore the issues facing health professionals in today’s society.

In addition, our students take full advantage of rich opportunities to volunteer and work in medical settings and research laboratories due to our convenient location outside of the city of Philadelphia and our close relationship with our distinguished alumni who have distinguished themselves as leaders in the field.

Health Studies

Haverford now offers a multidisciplinary health studies minor. It's a complement to a more traditional science major, especially for students planning to go into medicine, nursing, psychotherapy or other clinical fields.
