Emanuela Bianchi, Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy

Biography:
Originally from London, England, Emma attended the University of Sussex
and the New School for Social Research, New York where she gained her Ph.D in philosophy. Most recently, she has been a Visiting Scholar in the
department of Rhetoric at the University of California, Berkeley. She
works at the intersection of ancient philosophy, contemporary continental
philosophy, and feminist theory. Courses she will teach this year include
Philosophy of the Body, an upper level seminar on the Ethics of the
Future: Teleology and Utopia, an introduction to continental Ethics, and
Twentieth Century Continental Philosophy.
