Women in Action seeks to provide a safe space and forum in which Haverford students can express and act upon their activist ideas. WAC strives to increase dialogue regarding gender issues within the Haverford community and to provide a forum where these discussions can then be turned into actions and so increasing activism and dialogue within the Haverford community. WAC wishes to foster dialogue in the Haverford community regarding issues which affect women both on and off campus by bringing speakers, volunteering in the community, sponsoring events and supporting discussion through networking events, panels and weekly meetings. Our events are always open to the entire campus and indeed, require a diverse representation of the student body including both genders for successful dialogue and activism regarding feminist issues.
