Stitch n Bitch
SnB is a casual, non-exclusive social group for knitters, crocheters, and crafters of all kinds! Come knit (or crochet or sew or sit or craft) and chat!
SnB meets once a week (TBA for this semester), to knit/craft. You can work on your own project, or use the club's yarn to knit something for charity! We will likely have one or two structured charity projects this year--such as knitting scarves for the homeless or hats for sick children. Participation in the service project is not mandatory, but simply a means to give the group some structure.
We also usually take at least one field trip to local yarn stores in Philadelphia. Group favorites are Loop Yarn on South Street and Rosie's Yarn Cellar on Locust Street.
We almost always have food and music, and we try to provide a lovely, relaxing, and open atmosphere. We love to chat, and we'd love to meet you. Bring your current project and grab a seat!
Come even if you've never knit before but would like to learn--we'd be happy to teach you.
Club heads for 2013-2014 are Celia Ristow '14 and Aisha Pier '14. Once we determine what days work best for our group, we'll set our weekly meeting time and place.
