Sexuality and Gender Alliance (SAGA)
Haverford's Sexuality and Gender Alliance is a safe space for all community members to discuss important topics related to sexuality, sexual orientation and gender, participate in activism, and support each other. Whether you're a Haverford student, a member of the faculty, staff or administration, or a visitor, please feel welcome to attend our meetings, events and open lounge hours!
SAGA is also an affiliate of the Pennsylvania Student Equality Coalition, a student-run activist organization of many LGBTQ advocacy/support groups from colleges and high schools across Pennsylvania. Right now, the PSEC is working towards safe-schools legislation that would specifically ban anti-LGBTQ harassment and bullying in Pennsylvania schools.
Spring 2012 Weekly Meeting Time: Tuesday, 9 p.m.
(In the SAGA lounge in Jones dorm's basement – recently cleaned by several of our amazing volunteers!)
Spring 2012 Weekly Open Lounge Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8-10 p.m.
(Also in the SAGA lounge – we have a coffeemaker, an extensive library of books, movies and recorded T.V. shows, a giant T.V. screen with a DVD and VCR player, and a usually-peaceful study space. Come check it out!)
