Photography Club
The Haverford College Photography Club strives to give students the opportunity to learn and experiment with film photography outside of class, in their own ways and on their own time. Particularly, it provides students who are not enrolled in a photography class in any of the Tri-Co schools access to darkroom and film equipment, and it provides an environment in which students may pursue varied and diverse photographic interests without being graded. Furthermore, the photography club allows students to meet peers with an interest in photography to whom they can go for help, advice and feedback.
The Haverford College photography club is open to the Bi-Co. It meets somewhat sporadically on Sundays at 3pm outside the club darkroom, located in the basement of the Haverford College Dining Center. You don't have to have a camera to join the photography club; chances are we can lend you one of several, and probably provide some 35mm or 120 film to go with it.
The photography club currently has four cameras that club members may borrow for one or two week periods of time:
- Canon EOS Rebel K2 with a 28-90mm f/1:4-5.6 Canon Zoom Lens EF
- Nikon FM-10 with a 35-70mm f/1:3.5-4.8 Nikon Zoom-NIKKOR lens
- Holga Colorsplash Camera with a Fisheye attachment
- 35mm Orbit Camera with a 50mm f/1:4.5 lens
