The Bi-Co Jazz Band

Last year, Jack arranged several tunes for the jazz band. After having rehearsed them thoroughly, the BiCo Jazz Band had the opportunity to perform them in Lunt Basement.

A letter from Jack:
"Hello everyone. Welcome back to the Haverford and Bryn Mawr campuses for the Fall Semester. After our successful concert in Lunt basement at Haverford College last Spring, I look forward to another season with the same level of enthusiasm. I have scheduled the first Jazz Ensemble meeting on Monday evening, September 8th, at 5:00 PM on the Bryn Mawr campus. We will meet in Room # LL-02, which is located in the basement of Merion, next to the Neuberger Campus Center. You will not need to bring your instruments to the first meeting. I will answer all questions for newcomers and make a list of all instrumentalists who want to be involved during the upcoming season. We will also vote on a weekly rehearsal time that is hopefully practical for all members. I also teach jazz improvisation privately for anyone who is interested. The private lessons are extra-curricular and are not necessary for participants in the ensemble. If any of you happen to know other student performers with an interest in jazz from either campus who may have missed this announcement, please invite them to attend the first meeting.

There is a shuttle bus running on a regular schedule between both campuses, so there should be no difficulty for Haverford students to attend the first meeting and subsequent rehearsals. I am looking forward to seeing our past members, and also looking forward to
meeting all new members. Thank you.
