Fair Trade Initiative
Fair Trade Initiative works to raise awareness of Fair Trade on Haverford and to offer students the choice of Fair Trade items in all possible outlets on campus.
Fair Trade denotes products that have been made by artisans and farmers who are paid a living wage and provided humane working conditions while also protecting the environment.
We strive to become aware of our shopping habits, their impact on producers and the environment, and educate the community about the social and ecological injustices in the world. By organizing regular events and working with multiple facilities on campus, we fulfill our mission as a Fair Trade College in making.
Fair Trade products are currently offered in the DC, Magill Library, Zubrow Commons, CPGC Cafe, the OAR and the Bookstore.
We hold meetings every Wednesday at 4PM in the CPGC Cafe. Stop by and hear what we are up to!
