The Climate Issues Club
The Climate Issues Club (CIC) is a brand new club meant to both raise
awareness of the myriad ramifications holds for our world and our futures and
provide a means for Bi-Co students to take meaningful action that will help
ensure a better future for ourselves, our communities, our society, and our world.
Currently, the Club plans to:
• Coordinate efforts and work with other Campus Organizations with
overlapping areas of interest.
• Raise awareness within the Bi-Co of the many intersecting social justice,
human rights, human health, and economic issues posed by Global Climate
Change, and in so doing also redefine what it means for something to be
an “environmental” issue.
• Issue Research: Knowledge is power! We will strive to further refine our
understanding of the situation and what practical solutions are worth
supporting.
• Grassroots Action: Take action aimed at achieving meaningful and tangible
results in the larger world beyond the Haverbubble.
