Haversight

Along with many students on campus, we have had family members deal with severe eye disorders and conditions. We all value our eyesight: without it we would not know the beauty of landscapes or how precious it is to see our loved ones. When we think of what our world would be like consumed in blackness, there is intense anxiety. We are fortunate enough to be brought up in an environment where our family members are able to undergo treatment and procedures, but there are millions in the world who cannot afford such eye care. We hope to work with Unite for Sight, a worldwide organization, that supports eye clinics throughout the world by providing financial and volunteer resources to eliminate patient barriers to eye care. Led and locally managed by ophthalmologists, they provide year round clinics and examinations by local eye doctors, to diagnosis and care for treatable conditions and promote eye care health and safety. Haversight is a club that promotes awareness for eye care and the difficulty people face around the world to receive eye care.
