Quaker House
Mission Statement:
"Through Quaker Faith and Practice we aim to build a living community in which Quakers and non-Quakers alike can experience the centeredness and nurturing that occurs when Friends gather intentionally. This environment will support students as they gather in fellowship, unicate openly and truthfully, practice simplicity, and seek a greater depth of daily spiritual practice. We will serve as a living testament to Haverford's Quaker tradition."
Quaker House is a community house on the first floor of Apartment 50. We work closely with QuaC (Quaker Community) and strive to create community by working within the house and extending hospitality to the wider Haverford campus. We hold weekly Meeting for Worship at 12 pm on Sundays. We have also hosted workshops on Quaker process and Non-Violent Communication, conducted intervisitation visits with students from other Quaker Colleges, and held numerous fellowship events.
If you have any thoughts or suggestions on how Quaker House could better serve your needs or the needs of the community, please let us know.
