Quaker House
Quaker House is a community house on the first floor of Apartment 50. We work closely with QuaC (Quaker Community), the student-run organization on campus. We hold weekly Meeting for Worship at 12 pm on Sundays. Here is just some of the things we have done in the past: We have helped organize and host workshops on Quaker process and Non-Violent Communication, we hosted an inter-visitation with Guilford College students, and we have held numerous fellowship events. We have worked with QuaC and Haverford Monthly Meeting to organize a service trip to Philabundance.
If you have any thoughts or suggestions on how Quaker House could better serve your needs or the needs of the community, please let us know.
Our mission statement is: "Through Quaker Faith and Practice we aim to build a living community in which Quakers and non-Quakers alike can experience the centeredness and nurturing that occurs when Friends gather intentionally. This environment will support students as they gather in fellowship, unicate openly and truthfully, practice simplicity, and seek a greater depth of daily spiritual practice. We will serve as a living testament to Haverford's Quaker tradition."
