Pre-Vet Society
This organization is aimed at people who are Pre-Vet or considering Pre-Vet at Haverford.
The Pre-vet Society is mainly geared toward students on the pre-vet tract but not limited to those students.
The club's goals are to create a connection between alumni in the veterinary fields and aspiring undergraduates at Haverford through internships and consolation on courses throughout the student's undergraduate time. In addition the society aims to develop long term connections with both small organizations such as private practice animal hospitals along the mainline or shelters and large institutions such as the Veterinary Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania.
Recently the Pre-Vet Society collaborated with Haverminds to bring rescue dogs from Mainline Animal Rescue for and event on campus during fall finals called "De-stress with Dogs". This event served as a de-stressor for students during finals and as an adoption event, open to the mainline. The response from the students was an overwhelming success.
