"Learning and physical differences have uniquely impacted the way we have experienced Haverford. Whether it be how you read a book, take notes in class, or another accommodation, our scholarly lives can be very different from our peers. Some of us came here with a pretty good idea of how our differences would shape our time, and for others of us, we didn't discover that difference until we had nearly graduated. Maxine, Travis, and I all thought that we could learn a lot from coming together and sharing those stories in a group just for students with mental and physical differences. This is how the group Ability Beyond Disability (ABD) started."
