OAR: Meet the Interns
Anaka Allen
Anaka is a senior Comparative Literature major and Italian minor from New York City. She studied abroad in Siena, Italy in the fall and spring of her junior year. Although she has lived the better part of 7 years just outside of Philadelphia, she still feels a bit homesick for New York. This year she hopes to spend time in Philadelphia at museums and eating cheesesteaks, before she moves back after graduation. Owing to her study abroad experience, Anaka has gained an appreciation for good food and wine. She also enjoys listening to Italian music, watching films, and bad TV, but usually doesn't own up to the latter.
Joshua Bucheister
Josh is a junior majoring in English from Pleasantville, NY. He spent this past summer working at Haverford's Career Development Office, and is thrilled to be a part of the OAR, a new and exciting office. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking and biking.
Tamar Hoffman
Tamar is a sophomore who was born in New York, lived in Tel-Aviv for seven years, and now calls Haverford home. She has a wide variety of interests and on campus is involved in Customs, FAB, and Honor Council. In her free time, Tamar loves exploring new places near and far, getting to know people, listening to music, pretending to have any artistic talent, and reading.
Hannah Klein
Hannah is a sophomore from Connecticut. She loves dancing, in both formal and informal spaces, as well as traveling, exploring new places, and drinking tons of coffee. She is also involved on campus through the Haverford Women's Center and Customs. She enjoys being a part of the OAR and the great support and opportunities it offers the Haverford community.
Grace Mangigian
Grace is a freshman from Ann Arbor, Michigan and is thrilled to be a part of the OAR team! On campus, she is a part of the Quaker Bouncer board and involved with Greasepaint theater productions. As of now, she is interested in East Asian Studies and Psychology. In her spare time, Grace enjoys singing loudly in the Barclay showers, sending snail mail, and wearing Birkenstocks with socks all around campus!
Kayla Montaque
Kayla is a freshman from the Bronx, NY. Though undecided, her academic interests include classical studies, psychology, and East Asian studies. This past summer she participated in the Chesick Scholars Program and is excited to contribute her experiences to the OAR. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys baking and watching Japanese horror movies with her friends.
