Our officers and staff come from a variety of backgrounds and are dedicated to serving the campus community.
Alliyah is a freshman from Newark, NJ. She plans on majoring in Computer Science with a concentration in Peace, Justice, and Human Rights. Alliyah loves doing community service and enjoys participating in various affinity groups on campus, including the Black Students League and Women of Color. In her free time, Alliyah loves to spend time with friends, visit new restaurants and explore Philadelphia.
Larisa is a senior from Silver Spring, Maryland and is excited to return to the OAR team after spending a semester abroad in South Africa! She is majoring in political science and minoring in education and psychology. On campus she is also a member of the Haverford women’s soccer team and is a co-head of the Experimental College (Ex-Co) program. In her spare time, Larisa enjoys swimming, eating cheesecake, and giving back massages!
Rachel Baron is a senior from Westfield, New Jersey. An English major, she spent her last summer in Philadelphia as a communications assistant at the Pennsylvania Humanities Council, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing arts programming to the greater Pennsylvania area. She also works as a student assistant in the Distinguished Visitors Office. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys running on the nature trail and knitting accessories to ward off the Pennsylvania chill.
Sebastian is a freshman from Queens, New York. He is undecided, but strongly interested in Chemistry and Sociology. Over the summer, Sebastian was a Chesick Scholar and cannot wait to get started at the OAR. In his spare time, Sebastian loves to play card & board games and watch Netflix with his friends. He also loves to sing, dance, and act on stage.
Michael is a sophomore from Moorestown, New Jersey. He is currently studying physics and biology hoping to branch that into bioengineering and biotechnology, especially as it relates to pharmaceutical development. He is a member of Haverford’s club golf team and plays lacrosse or swims in his spare time. Michael is mostly excited about being a part of the OAR because he feels it is an integral part of the cooperative and supportive environment at Haverford.
Grace is a junior from Ann Arbor, Michigan and is thrilled to be a part of the OAR team. She is currently studying abroad in Denmark. On campus, she is a part of the Quaker Bouncer board and involved with Greasepaint theater productions. As of now, she is interested in East Asian Studies and Psychology. In her spare time, Grace enjoys singing loudly in the shower, sending snail mail, and wearing Birkenstocks with socks all around campus!
Kayla Montaque is a junior from Bronx, New York. She is a psychology major with a minor in gender and sexuality studies, specifically interested in how gender perceptions impacts social interactions and cultural responsibilities. In her spare time, she also enjoys catching up on her favorite TV shows and fooling around on social media sites. In addition to working in the OAR, Kayla is currently working for the Center for Career and Professional Advising as their publicity and promotions intern, hoping to share the wonderful support and guidance that it has provided for her with others.
Erick is a junior from Los Angeles, CA. He is planning on majoring in Political Science and/or Religion. In past summers Erick was a research assistant for Professor Tracey Hucks of the Religion Department and was part of the Chesick Scholars Program. In his spare time, Erick enjoys mixing music, jogging, and watching movies with his friends.
Although he spent his high school years in Chicago, Tiantong (Alex) Wang is originally from Shenzhen, China. Alex is majoring math and minoring in Growth and Structure of Cities in Bryn Mawr because he wants to pursue architecture after his undergraduate years. He is co-founder of the Haverford Calligraphy Club and one of the leaders of the Haverford Outdoors Club (HavOC). In his spare time, he likes playing cello and reading books. He enjoys working at the OAR because he believe that it is a place not only for academic but also for personal improvement.
Siyan Wang is a sophomore from Wuhu, China. She spent all her life in her hometown before coming to the US. She has broad academic interests. Though undecided, she is interested in Math, Linguistics, and East Asian Studies. She wants to work in OAR because she hopes to share her ideas and experiences with transitioning from home to the USA and achieving academic success in a totally new country with other international students. During her spare time she likes playing the violin, killing time on TV shows, playing or watching sports, reading, cooking and talking with friends.
