OAR: About Us
The Office of Academic Resources (OAR) offers Haverford College students an array of services designed to enhance their academic potential and supplement the many academic and enrichment opportunities already available to them through their course work and research at Haverford College.
The OAR is committed to the development of Haverford students as confident and competent communicators, scholars, and community members. Students can expect a highly individualized and comprehensive approach to their academic success when working with the staff of the OAR.
To this end, students are encouraged to take advantage of the OAR's workshops, online and print resources, and individual consultations to strengthen an array of personal skills associated with maximal academic success, including time management, reading and study strategies, and classroom management skills.
Working in close collaboration with the campus Writing Center (which will be housed within the OAR), resources are available for students to develop their self-presentation skills at any point in their time at Haverford College.
Students may also access peer tutoring and other peer academic counseling in a variety of academic disciplines through the OAR.
