Class of 2006 Senior Gift Committee

Commencement is a time when graduates receive many gifts and good wishes. In true Haverford style, the Class of 2006 was also giving back as they turned in their caps and gowns and celebrated their accomplishments.

The Class of 2006 Senior Gift Committee, pictured at right, oversaw a fundraising drive supported by their classmates that yielded close to $7,000 from an amazing 70% of their class. This spring, they extended a challenge to their parents to share in the momentous occasion of graduation by joining their efforts, which the senior class parents did with vigor, nearly matching what the students themselves raised for an unprecedented total to date of $14,062.72. These funds will be used to restore the light in the cupola of Founders Hall and provide support to the Haverford Fund.
