On Saturday, January 26, 2008, please join the members of Haverford College and the surrounding communities for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Symposium: Living King's Legacy.
That day from 10:00am – 5:00pm, noted speakers, faculty, staff, students, and community members will be engaged in various ways to better understand the legacy left by the noble civil rights activist. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage closely with twelve dynamic social change agents from across the country who have dedicated their lives to teaching about and eliminating racism, sexism, homophobia, economic injustice, and discrimination based on age, ability, and spirituality/religion. This will surely be an opportunity for members of our community to come together to celebrate, to learn, and to discover ways to be involved in the work that continues to be done around the country and world.
