Department Welcomes Visiting Professor Dr. Amy Neeren

The Psychology Department is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Amy Neeren, PhD, currently a postdoctoral research fellow with the Eating Disorders and Obesity Program, in the Department of Psychology at Drexel University. Dr. Neeren is a clinical psychologist with a specific interest in the psychosocial and cognitive factors associated with eating disorders. She received her BS in Psychology from Penn State University in 2001 and her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Temple University in 2006, and she completed her clinical internship at Long Island Jewish Hospital.
In the Fall semester, in addition to teaching a section of Intro Psych and the laboratory for Stats/Methods, Dr. Neeren will teach Psychology 215, Intro to Personality Psychology, which will meet WF 2:30-4PM. There will also be a lab associated with Personality, Psychology 315, on Tuesdays from 1-2:30. Lotteries for these courses (if necessary) will be held after the first class meeting.
In the Spring semester, Dr. Neeren will teach a course, either in Abnormal Psychology or in her specialty area of Eating Disorders.
We hope students will join the Psychology faculty members this Fall in welcoming Amy to our Department. Although she may only be with us for one year, we hope that she will find a welcome home in the Haverford Psychology Department.
