Alumni Community Goes Mobile with New App

As an extension of fords.haverford.edu, Haverford's online alumni community, Alumni Relations and Annual Giving is pleased to announce the release of Haverford College Alumni, a mobile app that brings alumni many features of the website—and more.

Available for both Apple iPhones and Google Android devices, the app lets you:

  • Search the alumni directory, including a geo-based search. Using your current location, the app will find Fords wherever you are—at home or on the road.
  • Update your profile and contact information in the alumni directory.
  • Register for online, regional, and on-campus events.
  • View or add to the photo gallery.
  • Make a gift to the College quickly and easily.

The app is free, and registration is required in order to protect alumni privacy. Once registered, users will remain logged in and only have to re-enter a four-digit pin when opening the app.

Haverford Library Access for Alumni

In our efforts to expand campus resources to members of the Haverford family who live far and wide, the College offers alumni free access to several of the Library’s valuable online journal collections including:

  • JSTOR - a trusted digital archive of premier academic journals. Haverford’s access includes ten collections of nearly 2,000 journals across a variety of disciplines.
  • Project MUSE - a source of complete, full-text versions of scholarly journals from many of the world's leading university presses and scholarly societies. Its electronic journal collections contain over 200,000 articles and are ideal for a wide array of research needs.

The College's Center for Career and Professional Advising (CCPA) offers terrific resources to both current students and alumni. If you haven’t done so already, please visit the Alumni Resources page of the CCPA's website to find out how you can provide support for students and alumni, and how you can tap into job search resources for yourself.

Within the CCPA's website you’ll find access to the CareerConnect portal, the College's job and internship posting site. Haverford alumni should follow the instructions on the homepage to request access to this resource.
