#11 Volleyball Flies Past Owls, 3-0

9/27/07 - #11 Haverford Improves to 17-0 overall in shut out over Bryn Mawr.
BRYN MAWR, PA - The 11th-ranked Haverford volleyball team blanked host Bryn Mawr 3-0 (30-11, 30-11, 30-19) Thursday evening, improving its overall record to 17-0 and its Centennial record to 3-0 on the season. Senior middle hitter Iris Early registered a season-high nine kills with a .375 hitting percentage, and tied a match-high with three services aces in the win for the Fords.
Sophomore middle hitter Rachel Salvo pounded down a match-high 11 kills with a .417 hitting percentage along with seven digs, four blocks and two service aces. Freshman outside hitter Kelsey Cantwell tallied a match-high 15 digs while freshman Franny Glick had ten digs. Senior Emily Hinchcliff dished out 31 assists as the Fords hit for a .306 hitting percentage, including a .467 percentage in game one, in the match. Sophomore outside hitter Rebecca Salvo had 11 digs and four kills.
Senior middle hitter K'Lynn Solt had six kills and senior outside hitter Laura Nuyen had six kills in a match that had all ten Fords log playing time.
Haverford will host Johns Hopkins on Saturday at 1 p.m. in a Centennial Conference match.
