Be Haverfordian Launches $150,000 Challenge
An anonymous member of the Board of Managers has challenged the Classes of 1995–2003 to collectively give $150,000 to Haverford’s Annual Fund by December 31. If the goal is met, the challenger will match it with another $150,000. The power of the Haverford community rests in collective action! Learn more about the challenge and how to participate.
Become an Admission Volunteer
Every year, numerous Haverford alumni assist the Office of Admission by promoting the College across the U.S. and around the world. These volunteers provide an invaluable service, giving an "inside" view of the Haverford community through their own experiences and ongoing knowledge of the College. Activities include interviewing prospective students, representing Haverford at local college fairs, attending admission receptions, and participating in outreach efforts for admitted students.
For more information about the program or to register as a volunteer, please contact Admission Volunteer Coordinator Amy Abolafia (610-896-1319).
Young Alumni Giving Month Breaks Previous Record
Last month, 858 young alumni (from the Classes of 2004–2013) made gifts to the Annual Fund totaling $48,491 with a $100,000 match from a Class of 2011 family. These results include an increase of 47 donors over last year—46 of them first-time donors to the College. In addition to setting a new record for Young Alumni Giving Month donors, the Class of 2009 reached a staggering 37% class participation! A special thanks to the nearly 50 young alumni volunteers who were involved in this effort and to everyone who made a gift. Congratulations!
