In this interactive workshop students will learn how to seamlessly record, save, and share a personal presentation using Panopto in our brand new Demonstration and Collaboration Lab.  Presentation and interview strategies for specific audiences will be addressed.

As a college student, you might feel like you are studying all the time. But are you studying as efficiently and effectively as you can? In this workshop, we will explore the way you currently study and teach you concrete skills to help you optimize the time you spend studying.

IITS/OAR: Excel Overview
6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

In this interactive workshop you will learn how to set up your spreadsheet to facilitate data analysis. We will look at how Excel works with cells, rows, columns, and ranges to sort, calculate, and chart information. By the end of the session you will be comfortable using Excel for basic tasks and will have the foundation for learning more. Please bring your laptops.

Learn concrete strategies for strengthening your reading comprehension skills! In this workshop, we will explore your current approaches to reading and try out a variety of reading approaches aimed at maximizing retention and efficiency. Strategies will be introduced for a variety of disciplines and formats.

Exploring Online Collaboration

In this hands-on workshop students will have the opportunity to experiment with a range of collaborative communication tools such as Jing, Google Hangouts, Skype, and Ovoo. Students will also learn how to leverage these tools in a variety of academic settings.

Procrastination and Perfectionism

In this workshop we will explore the typical underlying causes of perfectionism and procrastination, strategies for channeling the positive aspects of this behavior, as well as techniques for managing the behaviors and choices that get in the way of personal and academic success.

Have you ever finished a reading assignment and realized you couldn't remember a single thing? This workshop will teach you strategies to filter the information you take in, move it to your long-term memory, and easily recall it later on. You will also learn about different types of learning styles, determine your preferred learning style, and develop strategies for applying your strengths and style when studying.
