Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Program Information Sessions for First Years and Sophomores

The Haverford College Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Program (MMUF) invites you to our annual Information Sessions

Wednesday, November 6, 2013, 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.


Thursday, November 14, 2013, 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

Humanities Center’s Meeting Room, Stokes 102

Dinner will be provided.


The MMUF program prepares students for the PhD and for a faculty appointment.


The MMUF Program Includes:


  • Intensive Mentoring by Faculty

  • Research opportunities

  • Internships

  • Financial Support


Funded by the Mellon Foundation, the MMUF Program across 50 of the top U.S. universities and colleges, is designed for students interested in pursuing academic careers. The Program seeks to promote greater representation of African American, Latino, and Native American faculty in the U.S. Academy, and to encourage those with a demonstrated commitment to eradicating racial disparities, to pursue Ph.D.s and enter the Professoriate.
