College meeting is a refreshing interlude--a time of reflection and sharing. It’s a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday busy-ness to focus on the deeper, more basic dimension of our lives. College Meeting is a Haverford tradition. Like the use of consensus and the Honor Code, it grows out of Haverford’s Quaker character, but it is carried forward in a wholly non-sectarian fashion. Throughout the years, people of many different backgrounds have valued the opportunity that Meeting provides. Please come join us.
A note about scheduling: College Meeting has been held on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. for a number of years. This year, once shopping week is over, if there is a solid group of students who are interested in attending College Meeting on a regular basis who can only come if Meeting is changed to a different day or time, I will reschedule and publish the new information. If you are such a student, or if you are a member of the community who would like a personal notice if the time is changed, please contact me directly at email@example.com.
