Come learn concrete strategies for strengthening two key study skills: note taking and reading comprehension. During this workshop, you'll be introduced to a range of strategies that can be paired with your learning style and strengths to enhance your efficiency. Reading strategies, reading load management, note taking and active reading techniques will be covered in this hands on and interactive workshop.

Personal Branding | What, Why & How

What is personal/professional branding? Why does your "brand" matter and how is it created? This workshop is all about forming YOUR professional identity, perfecting it and then leveraging it - both as an undergraduate and as an alum- no matter what your post-graduation plans are. Procrastination & Perfectionism

Many college students cite perfectionism and/or procrastination as challenges that stand in the way of producing work they are fully comfortable with or with completing assignments on time.  In this workshop we will explore the typical underlying causes of perfectionism and procrastination, the strategies for channeling the positive aspects of this behavior, as well as the technique for managing the behaviors and choices that get in the way of personal and academic success.

The Strawbridge Observatory at Haverford College houses 12-inch and 16-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes which are actively used by students in Haverford astronomy classes.
