As part of the ongoing SEADS initiative within the Bi-Co, Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges will be transitioning to a single, shared online course catalog and course registration system in time for Fall 2013.
Features of this new system will include:
• Advisors gaining access to students’ course and major information during course selection, regardless of home campus.
• A streamlined lottery process for both students and faculty.
• Quicker updates from course registration to Moodle class lists.
• Easier access to cross-majoring between campuses.
With “Virtual Bryn Mawr” and “Haverford Online Registration” merging, a fresh Bi-College-appropriate name is needed for our shared online system. As mentioned in the November issue of The SEADS Report, the monthly e-newsletter, SEADS would like to involve the community by holding a “Naming Contest” for this enhancement to the Bi-Co experience.
All Bi-College community members are encouraged to submit thoughtful nominations. All persons with eligible submissions will be entered into a drawing for a new iPad mini! You can submit as many entries as you want!
Please fill out the Google Form that is linked on the blog’s “Resources
” page by 5 p.m. on Monday, January 28. The SEADS Steering Committee will review the nominations and choose a list for community voting that will take place in Spring 2013.
Thanks so much for participating in this exciting initiative! As always, you can follow our progress on the SEADS website (www.haverford.edu/seads
), which includes contact information for SEADS team leaders, as well as here on the SEADS blog (http://seads.blogs.brynmawr.edu/)
and in the SEADS monthly e-newsletter, which is distributed to all Bi-Co community members.
