A Few of Prof. Kight's Books Looking for a Good Home
Published on: 12/13/12
This past spring, the Haverford community mourned Professor Duane Kight's passing. His family, recalling Prof. Kight's avid and sustained support of the Library, donated many of his books to Magill, and we have subsequently been adding to the collection those titles suitable to an academic audience and relevant to the research and teaching of the College. Other suitable, scholarly books already owned by Magill have been offered to the Bryn Mawr and Swarthmore libraries respectively. An additional selection of books on vampires and the occult have been donated to two professors at Drexel University who teach and publish on these topics.
There remain, however, a number of his books more appropriate for a popular audience or otherwise duplicated at the Tri-College libraries. In the spirit of Prof. Kight's dedication to the College and his joy in reading, we would now like to offer these books to all members of the Haverford College community. To this end, an ongoing offering of his books will be maintained in front of the Circulation Desk starting now. Please feel free to take any books that might interest you.
We hope Prof. Kight's books will find good homes with you all.
