Hurricane Sandy Relief

In this time of great hardship for those of our East Coast neighbors affected by Hurricane Sandy, many  members of the greater Haverford community are asking what can be done to aid those in need.

The Center for Peace and Global CitizenshipEighth Dimension, and the Student Activities Office are working together to help connect members of our community who wish to contribute to the relief efforts.

As you think about what role you want to play during this relief effort, please be in touch with any member of the aforementioned offices to learn about what others are doing and how you can help. Just the same, if you have an idea for a relief effort that you would like to start (be it a lecture, fundraiser, or a winter break service trip), please also feel free to get touch with us, as we can help you think through and realize your vision! (In 2010, members of the student body and campus-wide community came together and fund-raise $10,000, which was donated directly to the Red Cross for those affected by the earthquake in Haiti!)

Additionally, and equally as important, please consider helping by donating your time or money during this Thanksgiving and Holiday season! Information and links to some of the many funds and organizations that offer aid for victims of Hurricane Sandy can be found here:
