Assistant Professor of Economics

Haverford College invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in the Economics Department at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates with prior teaching and research experience are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will provide evidence of excellence in teaching a diverse student body and a strong and on-going research program that is open to inclusion of undergraduates. We are especially interested in candidates with the ability to contribute to the Mathematical Economics concentration, a curriculum designed to encourage economics majors and mathematics majors to pursue a course of study that integrates the two disciplines. Fields may include, but are not limited to, applied microeconomics, econometrics, health economics, political economy, development and growth, environmental/natural resource economics, international economics, and macroeconomics.

 

Applicants should submit a single pdf file containing a cover letter, current CV, a statement of teaching philosophy, experience, and effectiveness, and one recent paper to hc-econsearch@haverford.edu. In addition, please arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent directly to Corrinne Fahl at the address listed below. Review of applications will begin on November 15, 2012 and continue until the position is filled.
