About the Exhibit
The Haverford College Department of Fine Arts is pleased to present the thesis exhibition of the graduating class of 2012. This year's six seniors pursued concentrations in drawing, painting, printmaking, photography and sculpture. The exhibition includes a short animation and drawings by Jon Appel, an installation and prints by Peter A. F. Loewi, etchings and paintings by Kelsey Power, photographs and lithographs by Christine Sanchez, fabric designs and accessories by Katherine Seto, and an installation with sculpture by Antara Tulsyan.
All Majors in Fine Arts are required to take the intensive, year-long Senior Seminar, during which they explore the themes, methods, and concepts presented in this exhibition. Throughout the year, they master the techniques and develop the visual vocabulary in their concentration to shape a focused body of work. For every graduating student, the exhibition represents the culmination of their study at the Fine Arts Department at Haverford College.
There will be a reception for the artists from 5-7pm on Friday, May 4. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday llam-5pm, Wednesday llam-8pm, and Saturday-Sunday 12pm-5pm. A 40-page, full-color catalog will accompany the exhibition. For more information, please call (610)896-1287
