Let's Get Fit, Haverford!

Healthy Tip
This is the time of year when everyone you know is getting sick. A simple way to avoid this from happening to you is to involve the recommended amount of fruit into your diet. Go shopping in the beginning of the week so you can have a piece of fruit every morning. It is a simple, enjoyable and healthy snack!

Staying Actively Healthy
One of the hardest parts of exercising regularly is finding the time to incorporate it into our busy schedules. An easy workout is jumping rope for intervals, totaling 10-20 minutes. Jumping rope can be just as effective as going for a run!

Exercise of the Week
SINGLE ARM DUMBBELL ROW:
Target muscles groups: Latissimus Dorsi, Rhomboids and Trapezius.
Goal: To enhance our back muscles and posture!
Instructions: Place hand and knee on a flat bench with weight in opposite hand. Extend arm with weight, and then rise slowly bringing elbow close to body and past ribs. Repeat on opposite side.
Tip: Maintain perfect posture through a flat back by pinching shoulders together and keeping abs braced.
