Visiting Assistant Professor in Computer Science
We seek a candidate for a one-year full-time visiting position in computer science, with the potential to be extended for a second year. Responsibilities include teaching five units (i.e., four separate courses with corresponding labs and discussion sections) for the academic year 2012-2013. The successful candidate will have Ph.D. (ABD considered) in computer science and excellent teaching skills. Computer Science at Haverford College provides a rigorous and thorough preparation for motivated and talented undergraduate students in the context of a liberal arts education. Such themes as collaboration across fields, a student-maintained Honor Code, and connections to social justice resonate throughout all Haverford curricula. Students from Bryn Mawr and Swarthmore Colleges also enroll in Haverford courses. Appointment rank and salary will be commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
