Jon Wilson receives Li-COR LEEF Award

Jon Wilson, Assistant Professor of Biology, has received a $49,000 matching LEEF grant from Li-COR BioSciences toward the acquisition of an Enhanced Ecophysiology Instrumentation Package.
The Li-Cor Environmental Education Fund (LEEF) supports inquiry-based learning initiatives to bring state-of-the-art research instrumentation into the hands of students at primarily undergraduate institutions. The LI-6400XT Portable Photosynthesis System will be used by students in both laboratory and field settings, permitting direct in situ measurements of plant photosynthesis rates, transpiration and water stress, chlorophyll fluorescence, and primary productivity.
