Lattisaw Scores a Career-High 27 Points in 61-45 Loss at Washington

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Haverford College’s Brittany Lattisaw scored a career high 27 points in a 61-45 loss at Washington College Wednesday night at Cain Athletic Center in Centennial Conference action.
Jane O’Donnell led Washington with 14 points and Elise Conway added 10. Natalie Richman grabbed a game-high eight rebounds for the Fords.
Washington (9-11, 6-7 CC) built its lead to eight in the first half at the 13:50 mark, but Haverford (3-17, 0-14 CC) climbed its way back to within one at 11:05. Lattisaw made a lay-up and was fouled. She completed the three-point play to get the Fords within one. But, the Shorewomen then netted the next seven points and the Fords could not get any closer then five points. Washington took a 38-25 lead into halftime.
Haverford kept pace with Washington in the second half, but could not overcome the first half deficit.
The Fords return home on Saturday, February 9 for a conference match-up against Johns Hopkins. The women tip-off at 1 p.m. followed by the men at 3 p.m. There will be a special ceremony prior to the men’s game to recognize all of Haverford’s 1,000 point scorers.
