Strong Second Half Not Enough to get Fords Past Gettysburg

Haverford outscored the Bullets in the second half, but ultimatley fell, 64-45, Saturday evening.
GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Despite a solid second half, the Haverford College women’s basketball team lost at Gettysburg, 64-45, Saturday at Bream Gymnasium. The Fords had three scorers in double-figures; Brittany Lattisaw scored 11 points and ripped 10 rebounds. while Kathleen Abels and Sara Cram had 12 points a piece.
Haverford (3-14, 0-10) trailed by 20 points at the half. However, they put together a 13-3 run early in the second half to cut the Bullets lead to seven. Gettysburg (11-6, 7-3) responded with a 7-0 run to extend their lead to 47-31. The Fords outscored Gettysburg, 29-28 in the second half. Abels led the Fords in the second half with 10 points.
The Fords will host rival Swarthmore this Wednesday. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
