Muhlenberg Cruises Past Fords, 72-40

Brittany Lattisaw's double-double (13 points, 12 rebounds) led all all scorers and was one of the few bright spots for Haverford.
ALLENTOWN, Pa. – In Centennial Conference action, the Haverford College women’s basketball team lost at Muhlenberg College, 72-40, Tuesday evening. The Fords Brittany Lattisaw posted a double-double and led all scorers with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Erin McSherry paced the Mules with nine points.
Haverford (3-12, 0-8) kept it close for the opening five minutes, but a 10-0 Muhlenberg (12-4, 7-2) run put them up 13-4. Lattisaw was a bright spot in the first half. She scored 10 of her 13 points in the first half, all from the field, while grabbing six boards. A tell tale sign of how things went in the first half was the difference from the field. The Mules shot a solid 45 percent while HC was 29 percent. Muhlenberg went into halftime holding a 43-22 advantage.
The Fords struggles continued in the second half as they made just six field goals. However, Kathleen Abels and Mai-Khoi Nguyen both hit three’s in the half. Abels had nine points for the game, five in the second.
Haverford returns home on Thursday, hosting Ursinus at 7:30 p.m. at Gooding Arena.
