Welcome to the City!

Residents of New York, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Seattle and Washington, DC are invited every year to connect with local alumni, parents and friends early in the fall for an annual ‘Welcome to the City!’ event in your area. Whether you’re new to the city or have lived there for years, these gatherings are a great opportunity to meet other members of the Haverford community. Invitations will be emailed to you based on your current mailing address, so we hope you will keep your contact information updated to ensure that you receive timely notification of news and events.

Volunteer Leadership Weekend – October 1-3, 2010

Haverford’s Office of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving invites alumni volunteers to Volunteer Leadership Weekend 2010 to be held Friday, October 1, 2010 through Sunday, October 3, 2010. This year’s summit will provide a weekend of inspiration, engagement, and motivation for volunteers who work as ambassadors for Haverford. Members of the Annual Fund Executive Committee, Class Volunteers, Reunion Volunteers, Career Development Volunteers, and Admission Volunteers will be invited back to campus to participate in training sessions, discussions, and receptions. Invitations with complete details regarding Volunteer Leadership Weekend will be mailed in late-August.

Family & Friends Weekend – October 29-31, 2010

Parents, grandparents, siblings and friends are invited to visit Haverford College during Family & Friends Weekend 2010 to be held Friday October 29, 2010 through Sunday, October 31, 2010. Events are planned for all three days, but guests are welcome to attend all or any part of the weekend’s activities. This occasion will provide an opportunity for guests to meet members of the College community and to engage in the unique Haverford experience. Brochures with complete details regarding Family & Friends Weekend will be mailed in early September.
