Franklin & Marshall Out Shoots Haverford

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin and Marshall College defeated Haverford College, 78-35, Thursday night in Centennial Conference action at the Mayser Center.
Miriam Marcis led all scorers with 14 points for the Diplomats. Alison Menna netted 13 points and Brittany Braxton added 10. Erica Juliano led the Fords with eight points. Brittany Lattisaw added six points, six boards and four blocks.
F&M held Haverford to just six points in the first ten minutes of the game. The Diplomats took a 36-13 advantage into half time. The Fords scored the first five points of the second half.
The Diplomats shot 46.6% for the game while Haverford managed only 27.1%.
Franklin & Marshall improves to 10-4 overall, 5-2 in the Centennial Conference. Haverford is now 3-10, 0-7 in the conference. The Fords hit the floor again on Saturday in game two of a doubleheader with the men against McDaniel. The men tip-off at 2 p.m. with the women at 4 p.m.
