Five Fords Score in Double-Figures in 62-58 Women's Basketball Win

Erica Juliano '08 tied a season-high with 13 points Friday

Kathleen Abels had 15 points as one of five players scoring in double-figures for host Haverford in its win over Penn State-Brandywine Friday evening at Gooding Arena.
Erica Juliano scored 13 points and Sara Cram, Kendra Smythe and Liz Theibert added 10 points each for the Fords (3-6), who won their third straight non-conference decision to end first semester action.
Theibert had team-highs of nine rebounds and three steals and tied Cram and Mai-Khoi Nguyen for the team-lead with three assists. Cram, who was the Fords' leading scorer in their first eight games of the season, scored her 10 points in only 15 minutes of action Friday.
Jackie Cericola scored 14 points and Alexis Davis grabbed 10 rebounds for the Lady Lions (5-2), who trailed for the entire game until taking a brief four-point lead with under eight minutes remaining. The Fords battled back and pulled away from a 56-all tie with 2:22 left on two Theibert free throws around a lay-in by Smythe.
Haverford will return to action with a Centennial Conference home game against Dickinson on January 9.
