Matt Stremlau '99 Wins GE & Science Prize for Young Life Scientists for His Work on HIV-1 Resistance in Monkeys

Matt Stremlau '99 is at the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator's Office at the State Department as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Washington, D.C.

Stremlau will receive his award in Stockholm, Sweden, on December 12. He received the grand prize for his essay, "Why Old World Monkeys Are Resistant to HIV/AIDS," which was published in the December 7 issue of Science.
