Summer chemical research in full swing

Chemistry Department students and faculty gather in the Rotunda of the KINSC for a group photo on June 15, 2009.
This summer the labs in the East Wing of the KINSC are full of students and faculty members synthesizing new molecules and materials, studying reactions, and using laser spectroscopy and computer-aided calculations to better understand interesting chemical properties.
Although classes are over, the Koshland Integrated Natural Sciences Building at Haverford is full of activity. In the Chemistry Department, 26 students and 7 professors are working full time in June and July on chemical research. The students include students from the classes of 2010, 2011 and 2012. Each professor has a research group with two to five students in her or his lab.
