HAVERFORD WELCOMES NEW STAFF

Evita Alpheaus has joined Institutional Advancement as an Alumni Information Technician. She enters and updates alumni’s personal information, such as changes of names, mailing and e-mail addresses, in the administrative database, uses that information to produce lists, labels, etc., prepares donors’ gift receipts, and performs routine database diagnostics. She has also joined the Alumni Year in the Arts committee.

Born in Philadelphia, Evita was raised in Pennsauken, N.J., where she currently lives. She graduated from Rowan University in May 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in communications, specializing in public relations. Evita likes shopping, travel, movies, and writing poetry. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., the first African-American sorority.

Corbett Shinn is a new Alumni Information Specialist in Institutional Advancement. Her responsibilities include entering and updating alumni information in the administrative database, retrieving information to help produce lists, labels, or statistics, generating gift receipts and acknowledgements, processing submissions to My.Haverford, creating quarterly and semi-annual mailings, and supporting database operations.

Corbett grew up in Cherry Hill, N.J., and now lives in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia with her husband, Mike Lohse. She majored in psychology at Franklin and Marshall College, and most recently served as administrative director for the New Jersey Public Interest Research Group. Outside of work, she likes to read, hike in nearby Wissahickon Creek Park, and write short stories.

The path that leads to the Gardner Integrated Athletic Center and Whitehead Campus Center. The GIAC opened in 2006.
