Women's Cross Country Places Second at NCAA Regional

11/10/07 - Seniors Annick Lamar and Jane Weber place third and seventh overall at the D-III MidEast Regional.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Haverford College seniors Annick Lamar (21:42) and Jane Weber (22:17) placed third and seventh behind individual champion Erin Fisher (21:18) of Elizabethtown, and junior Darian Lunne (21st, 22:40) and freshman Emily Letts (29th, 22:49) added Top 35 All-Region performances as the Fords finished second out of 37 teams at the Mideast Regional Saturday afternoon at Lehigh University's Goodman Campus.
Haverford and first-place Dickinson both automatic qualified as teams to next Saturday's NCAA Division III Championships at St. Olaf College in
Northfield, Minn. The Fords will be making their fifth trip to nationals in
the last six seasons under head coach Fran Rizzo.
Fords junior Lena Edelstein (23:28) and first-year runners Caitlin Tully (23:38) and Liz Zoidis (23:53) came home in places 51-58-78 in the
267-runner 6K field.
