The Chamber Singers of Haverford and Bryn Mawr perform at Nassau Presbyterian Church in Princeton, NJ, on Sunday, April 26th at 5:00 pm.

The Chamber Singers of Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges under the direction of Associate Professor of Music Thomas Lloyd will be performing a special concert at Nassau Presbyterian Church, 61 Nassau Street in Princeton, New Jersey, on Sunday afternoon, April 26th at 5:00.  A free-will offering will be taken in support of the church’s long-standing program in support of the Valley of the Pines School in Parramos, Guatemala.  At a reception following the concert, one of the Bryn Mawr students in the Chamber Singers, sophomore Margaret Ernst, will speak briefly about her experience visiting Guatemala as part of the project while a member of the church in high school.

The program will include sacred masterworks from the Renaissance to the present day interwoven with African American spirituals.  In a review of the Chamber Singers recent performance in Philadelphia on the Lyric Fest “Music at the White House” program,  Daniel Webster of the Philadelphia Inquirer wrote, “The Bryn Mawr/Haverford Chamber Singers, an image of careful training and firm ensemble, burst out in "Ain't Got Time to Die," soloists taking gospel to expressive heights.”

Prof. Anita Isaacs (Political Science) and students cross Founders Green after class.
